Carlos Eduardo Wanderley Filho, is a seasoned businessman, with more than 37 years’ experience of working, in different countries, cultures and business areas. He started his career in economics and finance, moving to sales and marketing and general management roles. The last 30 years have been spent mainly in retail-related challenges ranging from consumer goods to financial services.
Carlos is a true believer in customer driven-success, for the company, employees and shareholders. He loves managing in a crisis situation, often facing complex problems: always finding a way out that has proven to be profitable for the business and that improves customers satisfaction.
Previously he led a large and diverse team of people for the European and then the Latin American retail operations of one of the top five banks of the world, with customers across a wide range of cultures and economies,
The last few years have been spent accomplishing the challenge of restructuring the retail business of a large Nigeria bank. Carlos drove the transformation from an analog, liability-focused operation into a customer-centric, fully digital and omni-channel business, winning recognition and awards as the most innovative and fast-growing bank in the region.
